Located in Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood, the hotel is a beautifully restored building combining design elements of a classic New York-style hotel with contemporary decor and a boutique ambiance.

The Park South Hotel is centrally located near many of New York City’s premier attractions, museums and shopping areas, including the Flatiron District, the Empire State Building, Gramercy Park, Greenwich Village, the newly restored Grand Central Station and the Green Market of Union Square.

In addition, the hotel is just steps from the number six subway line allowing quick and easy access to Central Park, the Upper East Side, South Street Seaport, Battery Park, and the Staten Island, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island ferries.

The Black Duck: Nestled in a newly restored 18th century brownstone adjacent to the hotel. A 75-seat restaurant and lounge, is quickly emerging as one of Manhattan's best-kept secrets. Black Duck highlights Pan-Atlantic bistro fare.

The Black Duck bar and restaurant takes its name from the rum running boat known for its involvement in an incident that helped end prohibition in the U.S. in the 1920s. The restaurant features a cocktail lounge. The Black Duck's relaxing and inviting interiors boast hard wood floors, an alabaster bar and an open kitchen. The location of Park South is excellent for exploring the sights of Manhattan. Empire State Building and Fifith Ave only a few blocks away. Subway station on the same street as the Hotel. Breakfast was excellent - great variety and plenty of it! Staff very courteous and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable.

The wardrobe space in our room was tiny! Probably room for a few shirts and a dress or two! That said, we survived with this limited space.

Its good position for getting around New York

Originaly given a very dark and small room with no hanging space for clothes. but had paid extra when our friends had a bigger room for much less

we thought we had requested a king bed and ended up with a queen or something smaller than that. The tv reception in the room was horrible, even after the hotel service person came to our room twice. The room was extremely small and there is no place to put any toiletries in the bath.

The best things related to this hotel are: location (close to a metro station, pharmacy, restaurants and easy access to every interesting sights), cleaning (the rooms, common areas, restaurant) and staff (very helpful from the person who opens the door to the front desk manager).

Change the old models of AC units, too noise coming from it.

Great location, nice hotel, kind and very helpful staff clean room and facilities, complimentary breakfast, close to the subway station.

Very small room for breakfast and unfortunately anyone even from outside can easily come and take out a cup of coffee and some muffins from there absolutely no control..

Our room was very comfortable and clean. The housekeeping staff was wonderful! Great location.

We called for room service and waited almost 10 minutes for someone from the restaurant to pick up the call. We were then told they would call us back and the gentleman who called was rushed and rude. A suggestion might be to have more people in the restaurant on staff for busy nights.
