The Rho Hotel is quietly located just off Damsquare in the very heart of Amsterdam. This 3-star hotel offers you good value for money and comfortable rooms all with private facilities. The building was originally built as a theatre in 1908 and the beautiful hall still retains some theatrical qualities. . The Rho Hotel opened in April 1989. The friendly staff will do their utmost to make your stay unforgettable.

Room information

We proudly present our unique suites: Five spacious and quietly situated suites, tastefully and comfortably decorated. All suites have separate living- and bedrooms. Our suites have a large and cosy living room and an adjoining dining area. All suites are equipped with a complete bathroom and ideal is the separate WC.
The 2/3 persons suites have a separate bedroom with three single beds. The 4 person suites have two separate bedrooms with 2 single beds each. In addition to the modern facilities listed, all suites have a large LCD television. Relaxing after a busy day in whirling and exciting Amsterdam? Sit down on the suite's spacious balcony!

The hotel could not be in a better position for visiting all parts of the city. The staff were most helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

The hotel is situation is excellent; in the very centre of the city. Also, the hotel has rooms where you hear no sounds of the city even with the windows open.

Excellent location; Great price (in Amsterdam terms of course... All
hotels are grossly expensive in Amsterdam).

They pre-charge (I.E. you have to pay as soon as you get there).

1. Room was tiny. 2. I was bitten by an insect of some description while i slept which left me in quite a bit of pain, my girlfriend was also bitten while she slept!!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the heart of
Dam Square and is only a 10 min walk to the train station. Most museums
and attractions are also easily accessible. The hot buffet breakfast was
excellent. The double room we were given was big

The big room had only a twin bed option, which means a couple have to
sleep in separate beds and as a couple we preferred a larger room. The
toilet (wc) had a very strange design (exactly opposite to normal ones)
and it took a while to get adjusted to. Once the shower curtains were
drawn, the tub was in a near total darkness (the lights were on the
other side of the shower curtain).

Perferct location, right in the centre of everything, next to Dam square, 10 mins walk from train station (no taxi needed). Very good breakfast too. It was clean enough and towels were changed every day.

The room was extremely small and nothing special. Very plain furniture, like a student's room. Windows were old so you could hear all that was going on outside. I would recommend this hotel to young people who don't wanna stay in much and like to be in the centre of everything. However, I think there was a much nicer side to the hotel with bigger and more expensive rooms.
