The hotel is situated 250 meters from the beach and 2 km from Renesse. This is one of the best places along the coast of Zeeland. Swimming in the North Sea, walking along the beach, cycling across Schouwen-Duiveland, going out in Renesse, a day in Rotterdam (65 km), excursion to 'Waterland Neeltje Jans' or just doing nothing and swim in our heated swimming pool. How about dining in our nostalgic restaurant and have a drink at the bar or by the fireplace. Too much to mention, so come and discover for yourself.

Hotel information

Stop the time for a moment, because in ’t Klokje you can completely relax. You can enjoy the inner swimming pool, the sauna or the solarium. Our more sporty guests can enjoy themselves in our fitness area. Furthermore, you can relax in our private sunning meadow with a nice playground for the children. You can stroll along the beach, which you can find within only a couple of minutes from the hotel. You can also observe the many bird species in a bird reserve of some km², or cycle through the beautiful dunes and forests or across the plains. We offer fine bikes, which allows you to leave your bike at home. It is definetely one of the most unique places along the coast of Zeeland.

Food & beverage

After the relaxation, you can obviously also enjoy a delicious dinner in our lovely restaurant. In the different nostalgic and cosy areas, you can enjoy a kitchen of quality. The extensive menu enables you to choose from fish-, meat- and vegetarian dishes. You can also choose from our delicious desserts and drinks. We also kept the wishes of the children in mind, so they too can make a choice from the extensive list of dishes for children.
There is a nice play corner to ensure the fact that your children will also enjoy their stay.

Our location is of course also perfect for parties, gatherings and meetings. The rooms offer all the necessary equipment for receptions, weddings, seminars or business meetings.

Room information

For a short stay or for a longer holiday in this area, hotel ´t Klokje is an absolute summit. It is within walking distance of all the facilities like the busy but cosy centre of Renesse and the long sandy beaches, and hospitality is the main priority of ´t Klokje. Your host and hostess, and our staff make sure you will have a very pleasant stay in our friendly and familiar hotel.
You can choose between standard rooms, luxurious rooms, family rooms, but also standard and luxurious apartments. The rooms are all equipped with modern comfort. The family rooms also offer a separate bedroom.
All the studios are equipped with a kitchen and some of them even offer a seperate bedroom or a spacious luxurious bathroom.
The cosy apartments offer space for 4 to 5 persons, and all of them have 2 bedrooms, a separate living-room, a luxurious bathroom and a complete kitchen.

Area information

For many Dutch people, Renesse is the most beautiful coastal places in Zeeland, near the coast line of the lovely island Schouwen-Duiveland. The beach of 17km and the dunes can be reached within just a couple of minutes walking. To enable everyone to enjoy their holiday optimally, the beach has been divided into several zones, like calm beaches for persons who like to relax at the beach and families, and also beaches for sports and activities for the lovers of action and entertainment. In between, you can find multiple variations of these types of beaches.

Very good facilities including nice pool. Excellent locked shed for bikes. Nice restaurant.

Hotel is 1.5 miles out of Renesse and quite distant from the beach. We struggled a bit with the Dutch/German menu - it would be nice to have it in English.

The staff are amazing!the location was great,if you want beach promximity.atmosphere was cosy and family-hotel-like.LOVED The shower (i´m pregnant and it was easy to get in and out of)

The beds were a bit soft and the walls are pretty thin (although we were lucky - our neighbours were quiet)

Die Öffnungszeiten abends im Restaurant 18.30 - 20.00 Uhr. Zudem der Weg zum Restaurant über den Aussenbereich der Hotelanlage.

ligging hotel, faciliteiten, ontbijt,

in folder staat iedere kamer heeft balkon/terras, wij schenen de 'enige' kamer te hebben zonder. bij aankomst werd niet gemeld dat je dient te reserveren voor diner s' avonds in restaurant/ Toen wij om 17.00 uur hiernaar informeerde was het resaturant al volgeboekt.

Hotel was zéér goed. De gastvrouw en -heer zijn werkelijk hartelijk en heel vriendelijk.

Enige minpuntje is dat de kamers redelijk gehorig zijn, maar wél heel proper en netjes.

Lage am Meer, Essen im Restaurant, Frühstücksbuffet

Man muss immer ins Freie um Restaurant, Schwimmbad, etc. zu erreichen, Langer Fußweg bis in die Innenstadt, komischer Zimmerservice (am ersten Tag wurde alle Handtücher getauscht, obwohl keins am Boden lag, danach keine neuen Handtücher mehr. Das Bett wurde nur schlampig gemacht, die benutzten Gläser nur teilweise getauscht, ...)
