Restaurant Hampshire Hotel - Plaza Groningen

On the ground floor you will find the restaurant which has a pleasant atmosphere. Recently the restaurant has been changed completely. The new style is modern and elegant. In addition there is a terrace. During your meetings you are welcome to make use of the restaurant.

Breakfast

It is also possible to organize your breakfast meeting here. Breakfast is being served from 7h00 to 10h00.

Lunch

The restaurant offers an extensive lunch buffet during your meeting. In addition there is the possibility to have lunch Ã la carte. Please ask us for the different options. The restaurant is open for lunch from 12h00 to 14h00.

Dinner

During dinner we offer you an Ã la carte menu. It is also possible to arrange a special menu for you. The restaurant is open all night.

Bar

Our bar is the perfect place for a snack, a drink, or just to relax for a while. The bar is open all night.

Foyer

The perfect location for a reception or the closing of your conference or seminar.

Room information

Four different types of hotel rooms are available. The basic one has a spacious bathroom with shower and toilet. The rooms are well appointed for the business traveller and offer colour TV, work desk, telephone and AM/FM alarm clock. In addition there is the possibility for internet access. All additional facilities are available on request.

The luxury room is equipped with bath and additional space, which makes your stay even more comfortable.

The suites, naturally with bath as well, are extremely spacious, which makes them pleasant for a longer stay at Hampshire Hotel - Plaza Groningen

The environment (nature area Hoornse Meer) can be explored on foot or by bike. Hampshire Hotel - Plaza Groningen centre owns a property of approximately 4,7 hectare. The nature area itself measures approximately 300 hectare.

The city of Groningen

Groningen is the cultural capital of the north, with places of interest like the Groninger Museum, cultural centre De Oosterpoort and the municipal theatre of Groningen. The centre of the town is very charming with places like d'Olle Grieze (the Martini Tower) and the Goudkantoor. Modern architecture is mixed with historical buildings. There is a wide selection of terraces, cafés, eateries and restaurants.

Hotel was as can be expected for the price, quiet, breakfast was fine, good bus connection to city.

Internet in room was not working, room equipped with only the very basics, approach to hotel could be signposted better, bus times in information map were out of date, small room.

Though the hotel was a situated away from the city, the peaceful atmosphere in and around the hotel helped to get a very nice sleep, naturally leading to a productive day. I used public transport, directions for which was helpfully included in the hotel guide

The hotel is very clean and the staffs are very kind and helpful

The room is too small. There is no refrigerator and hot water pot in the room, which are very useful for preparing baby food.

it was not obvious where the hotel was, it really needs a sign by the main road, the approach road is deceiveing.

location near highway in quiet area, close to concert venue, railway station and centre, plenty of free parking. Good bed. Nice view from room and from restaurant.

At breakfast we were not allowed to use a few ' free' tables at the window next to the garden, because they were said to be prepared for dinner....

swimming pool, nice personel

Rooms are too small and not very clean – it was hard to look trough the window because it was to dirty. Swimming pool is a big plus, but it should be cleaned sometimes – there was a lot of sand in it (at least I hope it was sand…). Breakfast – nice choice, but you can forget about eating something warm. Even when I came couple minutes after 7, everything was already cold.

no hairdryer in the bedroom, the green water in the swimmingpool and the grease at the toptales around the pool. In generally the hotel was not top clean (the restaurant was) special the windows, by entrance and in the bedroom. And we missed little snacks in the restaurant.
